Ex-Tottenham star Jamie O’Hara has sent a warning to Dele Alli to focus more on his football and avoid unnecessary mistakes at the moment.
Alli continues to face an uncertain future at Tottenham with the midfielder currently surplus to requirements under Mourinho.
It was reported earlier this month that manager Jose Mourinho may not fancy the midfielder and has told him to improve if he wants to play more regularly.
This season, Alli has only been limited to 105 minutes across all competitions for Tottenham.
Once again, doubt surrounding his future grew even further after he was left out of Spurs’ squad once again against Chelsea on Tuesday night.
During his time at Tottenham, Jamie O’Hara once found himself in a similar limbo and refused to recover from it until he left the club. The ex-Spurs man has warned Alli to beware of the same happening to him.
“Harry Redknapp did the same thing to me, he bombed me out of the squad and tried to teach me a lesson, but I didn’t learn my lesson and I ended up filtering away,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.
“The same thing will happen to Dele Alli if he doesn’t listen.”
“He needs to get himself focused again, playing football, staying off social media and getting himself to be a leader and character back in that dressing room.”
“If Alli can’t get into that Carabao Cup side, something is seriously wrong there.”
“When you’re a young lad you think you know everything and he’ll be sitting there thinking, ‘I’m being treated like this, I’ve scored over 50 goals in the Premier League, I’m a top player.”
“But what he doesn’t realise is that they’re actually trying to help him, they’re trying to give him advice because they know the talent is there in the player.”

In spite of everything, Mourinho insists Alli still has a chance at revival under Spurs if he can stay focused on the game.
