After falling out of favor at Chelsea, Kurt Zouma has sealed a move to fellow London club West Ham United.

West Ham United have confirmed the signing of Kurt Zouma from Chelsea on a four-year contract until June 2025.

The Hammers have agreed on a reported £29.8 million fee with Chelsea for Zouma. The 26-year-old defender successfully had a medical on Thursday and completed his move on Saturday evening.

“I’m very happy and very proud,” Zouma told the club’s website.

“My conversation with the manager [David Moyes] went very fast. I just felt like he really wanted me to come and join the team, especially a good team that’s started the season very, very well.

“With the great season that West Ham had last year, that gave the team a lot of confidence to improve this year – and I want to help the team do that.”

As Zouma stated, David Moyes was keen to bring him over to the London Stadium to reinforce his defense.

Zouma, a Premier League and Champions League winner, will prove a valuable addition as West Ham compete in the Europa League after a solid sixth-place finish in the Premier League last season.

The eight-time France international leaves Chelsea with 151 appearances under his belt during a seven-and-a-half-year stay.
