The two European clubs have confirmed an agreement that involves players Erik Lamela and Bryan Gil along with a hefty fee.
Tottenham have signed Bryan Gil from Sevilla in a player-plus-cash deal that sees Erik Lamela head to Spain along with €25 million.
Gil, who is currently representing Spain at the Tokyo Olympics, has signed a five-year contract at Spurs until 2026. Subject to international clearance, he will link up with the squad once the Olympics are over.
The 20-year-old winger is also good friends with Spurs left-back Sergio Reguilon and heads to London off the back of a decent loan spell at Eibar last season, despite the club’s relegation from La Liga.
Lamela, meanwhile, ends an eight-year spell at Spurs by joining Sevilla. The Argentine midfielder was keen on the move, having struggled with injuries throughout his time in north London. He has signed a three-year deal with the Andalusian outfit until 2024.
The 29-year-old leaves Spurs with 37 goals and 47 assists to his name in 257 appearances.
