It’s official, PSG has agreed to sign another star player and they just made the announcement earlier today. A transfer overhaul.

PSG just made official their latest transfer through their official website. After Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi, and other players. The French giants just made the announcement we were all expecting of Gianluigi Donnarumma as their latest acquisition. At the age of 22, the Italian goalie arrives to reinforce PSG for the next decade. He just made the commitment for the next five seasons until June 30 of 2026.

PSG get one of the most exciting goalkeepers of the last decade who just graduated into the elite level by winning the European Championship with the Italian National Team. This is what Donnarumma told the press after his official announcement was made via the club’s website: “I am delighted to be part of this huge club. I feel ready to take on this new challenge and continue to grow here. With Paris, I want to win as much as possible and to bring joy to the supporters.”

Donnarumma, the early bloomer.

When he started his career at the highest level for AC Milan, Gianluigi Donnarumma was only 15 years of age. If you take a look at the level he has today, you can see he reached a level of experience that other players get when they are already veterans. Since he made his debut with the Rossoneri, ‘Gigio’ already played over 250 matches for his club and country. But we can count on the young star to maintain this level and even improve it for at least 15 more seasons.

If everything goes well for him, we could be talking about a potential contender for best goalkeeper in football history. Nasser Al-Khelaifi spoke to PSG’s website to welcome the club’s latest addition: “We are delighted to welcome Gianluigi Donnarumma to Paris Saint-Germain. We congratulate him on his UEFA EURO 2020 success and winning Player of the Tournament. I know Gianluigi will receive a warm Parisian welcome from everyone at the club, including his teammates, our staff and all the supporters.”
