After much negotiation, Paris Saint-Germain finally got to present their new manager on Saturday afternoon at their principal headquarters.

Paris Saint-Germain finally got to present their new manager today. Mauricio Pochettino was finally announced as the new coach and he was presented to the press. The Argentine manager has a past as a player for this club when he was still a professional. In fact, Pochettino even became a club captain during his time there. Today, he comes after signing a contract until 2022 with an option for a third year.

His biggest challenge will be to win the Champions League with the impressive roster he has under his command. Contrary to his time at Tottenham, PSG won’t object to requests of players he wants to sign. Pochettino can finally get to construct the ideal team of his choosing in order to win as many titles as he wants. He spoke to the media during his presentation before posing with a PSG jersey for pictures. His first training session will take place on Sunday morning.

Pochettino is thrilled to be back in Paris.

“I am really happy and honored to become the new coach of Paris Saint-Germain,” said Mauricio Pochettino after signing his contract via PSG’s website. “I would like to thank the Club’s management for the trust they have placed in me. As you know, this club has always held a special place in my heart. I have wonderful memories, especially of the unique atmosphere of the Parc des Princes.

“I return to the Club today with a lot of ambition and humility, and am eager to work with some of the world’s most talented players. This team has fantastic potential and my staff and I will do everything we can to get the best for Paris Saint-Germain in all competitions. We will also do our utmost to give our team the combative and attacking playing identity that Parisian fans have always loved.”
