The World Cup winner has extended his stay at the club for another three years.
Kylian Mbappe has signed a new three-year contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
The French star ends speculations around his future after lengthy negotiations with PSG and Real Madrid.
PSG were on the verge of losing the Frenchman last summer. But their efforts have finally persuaded Mbappe to commit to a fresh contract at Parc des Prince.
“I’m proud to give you a beautiful news: Kylian Mbappé has signed until June 2025 with Paris Saint-Germain,” Nasser Al Khelaifi said (via Fabrizio Romano).
Mbappe added: “I’m really happy to continue the adventure here at Paris Saint-Germain. To stay in Paris, my city,” Mbappe said after signing a new three-year contract.
“I hope that I will continue to do what I prefer to with you all… and win titles together! Thanks a lot.
“I always said that Paris is my home. I want to win titles here and have fun together as always. Thank you”.
Mbappe’s contract extension is a big blow to Real Madrid, who have been trying to add him to their squad for more than a year.
The Blancos are yet to react to the news. However, there are already reports of La Liga considering legal action against PSG.
A few hours before the announcement, La Liga president Javier Tebas slammed the Parisians for their ‘huge’ offer to Mbappe, comparing the contract renewal to the Super League project.
