Real Betis confirmed the signing of veteran goalkeeper Claudio Bravo as a free agent.

Former Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has joined Real Betis on a free transfer, the club confirmed on their official website.

The 37-year-old Chilean signed a one-year contract with the Spanish side, with an option to extend it for another 12 months.

Bravo returns to La Liga after spending four years in England, where he won two Premier League titles with the Citizens.

He started his career at Colo-Colo, but made a name for himself at Real Sociedad, before joining Barcelona.

At Camp Nou, Bravo won the Spanish Primera Division twice, as well as two Copa del Rey trophies.

At the age of 37 he joins Real Betis as a substitute goalkeeper for Joel Robles.

The veteran is Betis’ second addition this summer following the transfer of right-back Martin Montoya, who also moved to the Benito Villamarin Stadium as a free agent.
