Bayern Munich have announced the signing of French defender Bouna Sarr on a four-year deal from Olympique Marseille.

Bouna Sarr is the latest player to be joining the Bayern Munich ranks.

The French defender arrived in Munich today and completed his medical in a swift turn of events on deadline day.

Hansi Flick finally has for himself a new back-up right-back at his disposal in Bouna Sarr.

The 28-year-old joins the Bavarians on the long-term and is likely slotted as a back-up to Benjamin Pavard.

Sarr is happy to have made the move to the reigning Champions League title holders.

“I’m very happy to be joining a great club like FC Bayern,” he said as per the club’s website.

“It’s a dream come true and I will do everything I can to help continue the successful history of this club.”

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić is a fan of his new acquisition.

“Bouna Sarr is a dynamic right-back who fits in very well with the way we approach our game. He’ll help us in an important position,” Salihamidžić stated.

“At 28, he brings stability and experience to the table, and we also believe that he’ll develop further at FC Bayern.”

Elsewhere, Bayern Munich and Olympique Marseille have also been in negotiations for Michaël Cuisance. But there is no word on the status of that potential transaction.
