Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has announced that the club is hopeful they can confirm Ronaldo Koeman as the next manager soon.
Quique Setien is gone. Eric Abidal is gone. Barcelona is desperately trying to put together the pieces and rebuild a club fallen from grace.
It appears that the first piece of the puzzle that is rebuilding Barcelona is the appointment of a new manager.
While Mauricio Pochettino was the early favorite, it appears that Ronald Koeman is about to get the job.
Josep Maria Bartomeu told the club’s official website he was hoping to confirm the appointment of what he considered the “right man” soon.
He said:
“If nothing goes wrong, Koeman will be Barça’s head coach next season. We already know how he thinks and his philosophy”
