It has happened despite some initial complications, but the Brazilian full-back Dani Alves has made a sensational return to Barcelona.
Barcelona have successfully completed the signing of Dani Alves as they bring back the Brazilian with the request of new boss Xavi.
Initially, the Catalan club were unsure regarding the decision to make a move for the 38-year-old. However, with the persuasion of his former teammate Xavi, the club has finalized an agreement with the Brazilian full-back.
According to Fabrizio Romano, an official contract between Alves and Barca have been closed and the defender will stay until June 2022. In addition, there will be a clause to extend the agreement until June 2023 if needed.
Although, Alves will not be playing any games until January but will have the opportunity to train with the players.
In a statement on their official website, Barcelona wrote: “FC Barcelona and Dani Alves have reached an agreement in principle for the player to join the football first team for the remainder of the current season.
“The Brazilian will be joining training from next week but will not be able to play until January. The club will announce the full details at his official presentation as a new FC Barcelona player.”
