Serie A giants AC Milan have confirmed the signing of youngster Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal.

Brahim Diaz has officially joined AC Milan on a season-long loan deal after struggling for regular opportunities at Real Madrid, or any for that matter.

The 21-year-old mustered just 21 appearances since joining Los Blancos from Manchester City in a €17m deal in January 2019.

He even spent quite a large spell out of the squad altogether last season, managing just 59 minutes of game time in LaLiga across six appearances off the bench.

A host of clubs were interested in taking Brahim out on loan this season, including some in La Liga. But he settled for a fresh start in the Serie A instead by joining Milan.

But despite rumors claiming the Rossoneri hoped to include a purchase option in Brahim’s loan agreement, no such clause has been included.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of the Spanish footballer Brahim Abdelkader Díaz from Real Madrid CF on loan until June 30, 2021,” read a statement on the club’s website.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has taken on the No.21 jersey for his season on loan at the San Siro.

He will begin training immediately for Stefano Pioli’s side and will be available for selection in the club’s upcoming Europa League preliminary rounds.
