Spurs survived a scare as they allowed the opposition to get back into the game but ultimately slipped into the next round of Carabao Cup.

Nuno Espirito Santo brought up his “only frustration” from Tottenham’s victory against Wolves on Wednesday night.

Tottenham were well in control of the game for the majority of the first half, having grabbed a 2-0 lead with goals from Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Kane.

However, Wolves pulled one back as half-time approached and then leveled the scoreline in the second half to force the match into a penalty shootout.

The shootout ended 3-2, with the London side being on its right end and managing to advance to the 4th round of the Carabao Cup.

“In the first half we had many many situations to put the game to bed. Many, many,” Nuno said during his post-match press conference (via Football London).

“The way we recovered the ball, the chances that we created. We speak about four or five clear chances to score goals. That’s the only frustration we have.

“The boys prepared well yesterday and we spent a lot of time preparing because it’s not luck. It’s having a goalkeeper who has the right info and it’s having the players making their responsibility and the tasks that they have to do it.”
