As the Premier League’s opening day approaches, Nuno offered an update on Harry Kane’s future as a Tottenham Hotspur player.

As you might already know, Harry Kane has repeatedly stated he is done with Tottenham Hotspur. After an entire career at the Spurs with no titles won yet, Kane’s career seems like it deserves a club that can offer him those opportunities. As such, he has been looking at the options he has to choose from. However, the biggest issue here is Daniel Levy’s unwillingness to negotiate with any club. In previous years, we’ve seen the Spurs’ chairman make life extremely difficult for Real Madrid when they attempted to sign two incredible players.

Both Luka Modric and Gareth Bale suffered through gruesome negotiations between both clubs. But in the end, Daniel Levy agreed to accept offers for both. The issue here is that Kane’s situation seems far more complicated than the two players we mentioned. As the club that wants to sign him is Manchester City and Levy refuses to help any direct Premier League contender in any way. As of right now, negotiations between both clubs are stuck.

Nuno hopes he can convince Kane to stay.

In recent days, Harry Kane seemed to miss the first two days back to practice on purpose. But the star player recently came out to debunk this theory. In a recent exchange with Sky Sports, Nuno Espirito Santo revealed he is hoping for Harry Kane to change his mind about staying at the club: “All the players in the squad that work on a daily basis will be options for us, then it’s up to us to decide.

“It’s not about that,” he said of the timing of Kane’s return. It’s about what we have to do to solve the situation – this is important. First of all we have to speak. This is going to happen today (Monday) and after that, we hope to solve all situations. We have to solve it together, everybody involved has to solve it together, speaking, having a nice conversation, and putting out our opinions. But everybody together.”
