Antonio Conte believes FA should allow him on the touchline for Tottenham’s upcoming match against Wolves.

The Spurs manager got involved in a bust-up with Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel after the last weekend’s London derby.

Tensions boiled over on the touchline when Conte rushed to celebrate Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s second-half equaliser in the face of Tuchel.

Following the final whistle, the German manager’s handshake with Conte quickly turned into an altercation

Once again, the coaching staff jumped in to separate the two managers. However, this time the referee sent both coaches out with straight red cards.

The English FA are yet to comment on the incident. However, the Italian boss believes he should be allowed back on the touchline when his side face Wolves this weekend.

“It’s right, it’s right to stay in my place,” Conte told reporters.

“Then I repeat for sure after this type of situation you can learn a lot. But at the same time I think from my situation I was good to keep calm and [I] didn’t have an excessive reaction.”

Despite adding six new players to his Spurs squad, Conte is reluctant to allow any departures from Tottenham this summer.

“If someone goes away then for sure another player has to come. Especially if some players want to go and play regularly and it’s difficult to keep them here.”
