The Citizens are not planning to loan out Julian Alvarez this summer.

Julian Alvarez and Manchester City will reportedly reject any loan offers ahead of the next season.

Following his arrival from River Plate last year, Alvarez spent a fantastic debut campaign at Man City. Even Erling Haaland’s record-breaking campaign couldn’t stop the Argentine international from finding his place in Pep Guardiola’s plans.

In recent weeks, reports have emerged of Alvarez’s possible move away from Etihad in search of more playing time. But it seems the 23-year-old is planning to be part of City’s defence of their historic treble.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Alvarez and his representatives are not seeking a loan move this summer. The Sky Sports journalist claims there’s “no chance” the Argentine would leave City ahead of the next season.

Last season, Alvarez made a total of 49 appearances for the Citizens across all competitions, registering 17 goals and five assists. In addition to winning the treble with City, Alvarez helped Argentina win the World Cup for the first time since 1984.

Bayern Munich have shown interest in signing Alvarez on a loan contract. Following two rejected bids for Harry Kane, the German giants are reportedly considering a short-term solution for the No.9 spot. In addition to Alvarez, Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic is also on Bayern’s radar for a possible loan transfer.
