Allan has been linked with a move to the Premier League but his agent has revealed the transfer will take some time.

Carlo Ancelotti wants a reunion with Allan at Merseyside. He believes the Brazilian midfielder will give his Everton team the structure he craves.

The Toffees have fulfilled the wishes of the experienced manager. Everton made a bid of €25m plus up to €5m in bonuses to Napoli, which was reportedly agreed by the club.

However, it seems that these reports were just speculative news in Italian media. Allan’s agent, Juan Gemelli, admitted that the negotiations are taking place but rejected claims that a bid has been accepted.

Gemelli also added that Allan knows about the interest but has yet to agree on terms with the English Premier League side.

“We’re at an advanced stage, but there’s no agreement with the player yet,” Football Italia quoted the agent.

The combative midfielder has been on his way out ever since his house was broken into last November.

Moreover, the club did not come to his aide during their run of poor performances, which also saw the ultras abuse his wife.

Allan’s Napoli career was on its last legs ever since he vocally opposed the forced ritiro. He was one of the staunchest critics of Aurelio De Laurentiis and has been looking for new employers ever since. Only Gennaro Gattuso managed to change his mind.
