Thomas Tuchel is keen to add a new holding midfielder to his Bayern Munich squad.

Bayern Munich are reportedly considering a move for Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi.

The Bavarians have signed five new players this summer as they go into their first full season under Thomas Tuchel. As Benjamin Pavard pushes to secure a move away from the club, finding a new right-back seems to be the club’s priority.
However, it seems that Tuchel is still scanning the market to find a new No.6

According to Kicker, the German manager has been a big fan of Ndidi since his time in the Premier League. The Nigerian star was reportedly keen to work under Tuchel at PSG, which never materialized.

Bayern, however, are not open to selling a transfer fee for Ndidi as they are exploring the possibility of a loan move. With the Nigeria international’s current contract expiring in 2024, he could secure a loan move to Allianz Arena if he extends his deal before the transfer window deadline.

Bayern have added Konrad Laimer to their midfield line this summer. However, they still lack a reliable No.6 in their squad, as Joshua Kimmich often prefers to play higher up the pitch.

Tuchel’s men will host Augsburg in their next Bundesliga match on Sunday.
