Nigeria icon gives Victor Osimhen transfer advice after Chelsea confession

Will Victor Osimhen be on his way out of Napoli next summer? If so, John Obi Mikel is ready to offer a helping hand…to the right club.

John Obi Mikel has advised Victor Osimhen to stay away from Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career.

Osimhen spoke to the former Chelsea and Nigeria midfielder on The Obi One Podcast. The pair discussed many topics, including the player’s future. In the chat, Osimhen revealed he received a huge offer from a Saudi Arabian club in the summer, but rejected it after talks with Napoli.

Then, while discussing a Premier League transfer, Osimhen revealed he has jerseys of Chelsea and Manchester United. He also admitted he idolized Blues icon Didier Drogba as a child.

“It’s not the time to go to Saudi,” Mikel told the attacker.

“Next season I know you’re going to come to Chelsea. I’m going to be the agent to broker that deal. You’re 100% coming to Chelsea!”

At this suggestion, Osimhen laughed but didn’t elaborate any further.

The 24-year-old has been out for the past month with a hamstring injury. He isn’t in the Nigeria squad for the upcoming international break. Napoli, though, do expect him back in action shortly afterward.
