Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr is worried regarding the return of their midfielder Wilfred Ndidi ahead of WC qualification fixtures.

Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr is concerned regarding Wilfred Ndidi’s fitness ahead of the 2020 World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.

The Leicester City midfielder has been in the recovery room since he sustained a hamstring injury back in the Premier League clash against Burnley. Though he is close to making a comeback, it appears to be a problem for Rohr.

Nevertheless, the German boss is happy because of excellent performances from his strikers Victor Osimhen, Emmanuel Dennis, Paul Onuachu, and Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo.

Ultimately, Rohr will be in a tough spot as he will have to make final decisions regarding Nigeria’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

A big headache. 😵🇳🇬

While speaking to Elegbete TV, the Super Eagles coach said: “The headache I have is only when I have injuries. When I have problems with my players, we still have Ndidi who is not back again. This is a big headache for me and for the staff.

“To have our players who are doing well it’s very positive. So we have no headache about it. We only have some troubles with injuries or some other problems, family problems or something. But when they are doing well we are happy.

“Why have a headache? The choice will be done. And it’s good to have the choice already that we have so many good strikers. And we’ll try to use the best choice like we always.”

Rohr will announce the complete list of players for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in the coming days.
