Partying in Ibiza for his much warranted holidays, it has been revealed that Neymar Jr has tested positive for Covid-19.
The last 10 days could have gotten worse for Neymar and they have. The Brazilian lost the Champions League final to Bayern Munich. The heartbreak was worse as he could have hit the back of the net in the first half.
In the end, Neymar was on the losing side. He left Portugal for much needed vacations before the start of 2020/21 Ligue 1 season. The recent days and trauma attached with them just got bitter.
Daily Star has reported that Neymar will now remember these days as the period when he contracted Covid-19 virus. He was partying in Ibiza and is one of three Paris Saint-Germain players to have tested positive for the coronavirus.
“Three Paris Saint-Germain players have confirmed positive Sars CoV2 tests and our subject to the appropriate health protocol,” a statement from PSG read.
“All of the players and coaching staff will continue to undergo tests in the coming days.”
Neymar is now a major doubt for PSG’s opening match against Lens on September 10. He also stands to miss their derby against Marseille.
The identity of the other two players has not surfaced. However, it is speculated that they are Argentine duo, Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes. All three players are now in self-isolation.
