The PSG forward responded to claims he is ‘immature’ after throwing many high-profile parties over the years.

‘I will never stop doing it,’ vowed Neymar in response to criticism over his partying habits.

The Brazilian, who will celebrate his 29th birthday on Friday, tends to host some huge birthday parties every year, which have attracted celebrities and famous footballers from around the world and made headlines on each occasion.

Neymar’s antics off the pitch have probably made more headlines than his performances for Paris Saint-Germain since his world-record €222m transfer from Barcelona in 2017.

And even the COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t stopped Neymar, if rumors are to be believed. He has already had to deny claims over recklessly hosting a New Year’s party with around 150 people in attendance.

“So, who doesn’t like to party? Everyone likes to have fun,” Neymar told ESPN on his partying ways. “I know when I can go, I know when I can do it, when I can’t.

“Contrary to what people think, that I’m immature, that I don’t know what I do.”

He added: “I’ve been in football for several years. If you stay 100 per cent with your head focused on just playing football, in my opinion, you end up exploding.

“It is my time to relax, to be calm… I will never stop doing it.”

Neymar returns to action on Wednesday night as PSG face Nimes at the Parc des Princes for a Ligue 1 match.
