Neymar: No one can convince me PSG aren't going to CL finals

Paris Saint-Germain never entertained the thought of getting eliminated from the Champions League, asserts Neymar.

In a blink of an eye, when it almost looked like they were set for disappointment, Paris Saint-Germain came from behind and overturned the tie against Atalanta.

Mario Palisic’s brilliant first-half strike kept the opposition trailing until the 90th minute. In stoppage time, Marquinhos headed home from close range before Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting helped PSG to a dramatic comeback.

Neymar remained a constant throughout the match and the tie would have likely been settled much earlier had he not been poor with his finishing.

“It’s a great night but it was very difficult. We knew that Atalanta were a great team, who played well all season and were the surprise team in this competition. We never thought about elimination and we never thought of going home,” Neymar told after the full-time whistle [via Goal].

“No one is going to take my mind off the fact that I want to go to the final.

“We are happy for what we achieved, we had a great game. We will have to rest because it was mentally exhausting.”

PSG will now face either of Atletico Madrid or RB Leipzig in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
