Neymar voiced his fury against Alvaro Gonzalez publicly after accusing the Marseille defender of racism in Sunday’s Le Classique defeat.
A hot-headed affair at the Parc des Princes on Sunday night saw five players get sent off for an injury-time brawl, including Neymar.
The Paris Saint-Germain star was at the center of the ugly scenes late in the game, having been the last of the five players to get dismissed. His sending-off came after he slapped Alvaro in the back of the head.

But while leaving the pitch, Neymar was caught on the microphone accusing Alvaro of racism to the fourth match official. He then reiterated his allegation to a nearby camera following a VAR review, which confirmed his red card.
‘Ney’ later took to social media to publicly slam Gonzalez and even accused the Marseille center-back of using some very specific slur against him.
“My only regret is not hitting that asshole in the face,” Neymar wrote on Twitter.

He later posted again on Twitter, accusing the Spaniard of using a specific slur against him.

Neymar’s PSG teammates Leandro Paredes and Layvin Kurzawa also got sent off in the dying moments of the match, as did Marseille duo Jordan Amavi and Dario Benedetto.
The brawl began when Benedetto nudged Paredes backside. The PSG substitute retaliated by punching the Marseille forward to the ground before seemingly headbutting Alvaro. Kurzawa and Amavi then aimed punches and kicks at each other.
The pair got straight red cards for their actions, while the referee handed Benedetto and Paredes their second yellow cards for the match. A VAR review then caught Neymar hitting the back of the Alvaro, resulting in the Brazilian’s dismissal.
It marked a bitter end for PSG, who fell to a 1-0 defeat to rivals Marseille on Sunday night. Florian Thauvin’s first-half opener was enough to condemn the Parisians to their first back-to-back defeats in their opening two games of a Ligue 1 campaign since 1984/85.
Neymar, Kurzawa, and Paredes will now be suspended for the club’s next league game against Metz on Wednesday.
