Once again, Neymar has found himself injured and will not be able to play in Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Argentina on Tuesday.

Brazil face a calamity as Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has been ruled out of their World Cup qualifying encounter against Argentina on Tuesday.

Sadly, the 29-year-old suffered from a thigh injury and has not travelled to their South American neighbours with the rest of the squad.

Neymar helped his side find the decisive goal in their last fixture against Colombia, who they beat by 1-0.

An official statement from the Brazilian Football Confederation stated: “Due to a thigh injury Neymar will not play against Argentina, this Tuesday (November 16th), for the WC Qualification.”

“Neymar didn’t travel to Argentina with the rest of the Brazilian squad and will return to France this Wednesday.”

Another statement from CBF added: “After the activities held at Palmeiras’ Football Academy on this Monday morning, Neymar complained about feeling pain in his left thigh.”

“Neymar Jr. revealed insecurities about the situation. And as a result of not having enough time to make complementary medical exams, Brazilian technical staff decided to preserve the player who will not travel with the Brazilian Group to San Juan, where the game against Argentina will take place this Tuesday.”
