The world’s most expensive footballer in history will end a six-year spell in Paris this summer.
Neymar is set to leave reigning French champions Paris Saint-Germain for Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
Al Hilal will pay PSG a transfer fee of around €90 million, according to ESPN. The club will sign Neymar on a two-year contract, with an option for a third year.
Another report from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has added Neymar will take the No. 10 jersey. The Brazilian attacker will complete his medical on Monday and then plans to travel to Saudi Arabia later in the week.
Al Hilal have already spent a reported €178 million in signing Malcom, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.
Should Neymar join, it will end the forward’s six-year spell at PSG. He joined the Ligue 1 club for a world-record fee of €220 million from Barcelona in 2017. A series of injuries and off-field problems, however, overshadowed his time in Paris.
As things stand, Neymar has produced 118 goals and 77 assists in 173 games for PSG. He has helped the Parisians win numerous domestic honors and finish as the runners-up in the 2020 Champions League.
