After careful consideration of events, the French Football League set Neymar Jr. and Alvaro Gonzalez free of any charges.

Neymar Jr. of Paris Saint Germain and Alvaro Gonzalez of Marseille are cleared of any potential punishments by Ligue 1. The association made official announcements on Wednesday.

The French Football League (LFP) said that there was not sufficient evidence to prove the guilt.

The discipline Committee of the Ligue de Football Professionel (LFP) said on Wednesday: “After examining the file, hearing the players and the representatives of the clubs, the Commission notes that it does not have sufficient convincing evidence to allow it to establish the materiality of the facts of discriminatory remarks.”

The backstory.

Neymar Jr. had to leave the field after hitting Alvaro Gonzalez in a Ligue 1 game. Paris Saint-Germain played Marseille on September 13 which turned out to be a feisty match.

The Brazilian received a ban for four games for hitting the Marseille defender earlier this month.

Eventually, Neymar accused the Spanish defender of racist comments. He expressed his message through a twitter post.

Consequently, the French League took matters into hand. And, the organization decided to look into the case by the end of this month.

On the contrary, Gonzalez and Marseille admitted to possessing evidence against Neymar. They said that it was he who called the defender Sakai a ‘Chinese s***’.

Later, a Spanish TV network blamed the PSG forward for his behavior. They claimed that the Brazil international called Gonzalez a ‘f***ing queer’.

After the game, Neymar tweeted: “You are not a man to assume your mistake, losing is part of the sport. Now insulting and bringing racism into our lives no, I don’t agree.”

Simultaneously, Gonzalez tweeted: “There is no place for racism… Sometimes you have to learn to lose and take it on the field. Incredible 3 points today. Allez l’OM. Thanks, family.”

“Olympique de Marseille is satisfied with the disciplinary committee’s decision tonight on Alvaro Gonzalez,” Marseille said on Twitter.

“Alvaro is not racist, any accusation against him on this subject is unfair and unfounded. Olympique de Marseille is and will remain the club of anti-racism.”

Neymar including four other player received red cards during the match.
