With Andrea Pirlo no longer in charge, it’s time to check out the six favorites to become the next Juventus manager.
Zinedine Zidane and Massimiliano Allegri are the bookmakers’ favorites to become the next Juventus manager.
A disappointing 2020/21 campaign saw the Bianconeri relinquish the Serie A title for the first time in nine years, almost qualify for the Europa League, and suffer a Champions League last-16 exit.
The club chiefs, therefore, sacked Andrea Pirlo on Friday morning. The rookie coach may have won two titles, but Juve evidently feel a more experienced and proven gaffer is needed.
According to odds from bookmakers.co.uk, Zidane is the favorite. The Frenchman has just left Real Madrid and many fans would love to see him back in Turin alongside former star player Cristiano Ronaldo.
But Zidane has made no comment on his future plans and reports in Italy strongly indicate Allegri will return to Juventus instead.
The Italian, who enjoyed a highly successful first spell between 2014 and 2019, is the second favorite with Betfair. With five consecutive Serie A titles under his belt, the man is a proven winner.
Despite only becoming Roma manager last month, Jose Mourinho is the third favorite. Betvictor is backing the Special One with odds of 5/1.
Diego Simeone, Simone Inzaghi, and Fabio Cannavaro are also in the mix.
