The Brazil international is reportedly on PSG’s exit list this summer.
Newcastle star Joelinton has encouraged his countryman Neymar to join the Magpies ahead of the next season.
Five years after his €222-million move to Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar is subject to transfer rumours linking him with a summer move away from Parc des Princes.
According to French outlets, PSG are open to selling the Brazilian winger this summer. However, such a huge transfer is not affordable for many, even elite, clubs.
Newcastle, however, are among the very few that have little financial limits when it comes to transfers. A Saudi takeover saw the Magpies fortify their squad with a host of signings both last winter and this summer.
Joelinton, who has spent the last three seasons at St James’ Park, has encouraged Neymar to seek a transfer to Newcastle.
“We can get him a spot, sure!” the Newcastle star told the Cast FC podcast.
“In any team in the world. If he comes it will be…
“I can’t explain it, the man is an idol, is huge in world soccer. So, the invitation is done. Ney, if you are listening to this, you can come. I’ll run for you all the time.
“If we have the chance I hope the coach will call him. The number 10 shirt is there waiting for him. I’ll send a message to Bruno. Bruno has his contact, he can send a message inviting Ney to play there.”
