With an enhanced transfer budget, Newcastle United are targeting a Manchester United midfielder for a loan deal in January.

Newcastle are reportedly showing interest in Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard and plan to loan him this month.

The 29-year-old was a stranger to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad and has received similar treatment from Ralf Rangnick.

In fact, the playmaker has only racked 14 appearances across all competitions this campaign. And therefore has been linked with the likes of Tottenham and West Ham for a transfer.

However, a report from the Manchester United News suggests that Newcastle are willing to pay all of Lingard’s 100,000-a-week wages. Moreover, the Magpies are also ready to offer a loan fee to the Red Devils.

But, it will not be that easy for Newcastle to acquire the English midfielder. Given his increasing interest in making a return to the Hammers. Lingard successfully featured for West Ham last season and bagged nine goals in 16 games.

Even though it was expected that he would continue with the same fire at Old Trafford, things have been different. With only six months left on his contract, there could be a movement in his career sooner or later.
