Umar Sadiq has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs in recent months.

Since joining Almeria last year, Umar Sadiq has established himself as one of the best strikers of La Liga 2. Several clubs are eyeing moves for the Nigerian star, with Newcastle being his newest suitor.

According to FichajesNewcastle are planning to sign Sadiq next year. The club are keen to add a new striker to their ranks and are convinced of the Nigerian’s qualities.

Sadiq has featured in 15 matches for Almeria in their current campaign, scoring seven goals and providing six assists. The Rojiblancos are currently leading the Segunda Division table, and a potential promotion could change the situation for Newcastle

If Almeria secures promotion, more suitors will compete for the player, complicating the transfer for Newcastle. Arsenal and Tottenham are already keen to sign Sadiq and might decide to make a bid for him this January.

The Spanish side are reportedly demanding €25m for the Nigerian star, which levels their record-departure Darwin Nunez. The Benfica striker left Almeria last year, kick-starting an impressive spell at the Dutch side. Nunez is another highly-demanded young striker whose transfer might affect Sadiq’s next transfer.
