After arriving at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal’s new signing commented on bringing home the Premier League title.
Arsenal used the transfer window to make a new deal of £45m with Atletico Madrid. The Gunners obtained Ghana midfielder Partey, 27, to join their club.
Arsenal is champions of England for 13 times. Although Arsenal’s last league triumph was in the 2003-04 season.
“Everybody is wanting to win all the trophies that can be won. That’s my goal also,” Partey said.
“It’s something that’s difficult but we’re working towards it and we’re ready. We have to go all out and try and achieve all I have said.
“That’s the objective of the club and myself. We have to get back to where we belong.”
Since their last achievement in the Premier League, the Gunners won the FA Cup multiple times. As well as them beating Chelsea 2-1 in the last season in the final in August.
Nevertheless, they managed only to finish in the league in the eighth position. Moreover, Arsenal did not participate in the Champions League since the 2016-17 season.
High hopes.
“It’s a great challenge,” added Partey, who won the Europa League and Uefa Super Cup, and played in the 2016 Champions League final with Atletico.
“I want to experience new challenges. I’m ready to give it my all and help this club.
“They [manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu] told me about their plans and it was so exciting so I had to accept it. I feel great to be here.
Arsenal will play Manchester City on Saturday in the Premier League. Subsequently, they managed to win four games in the new season and stand in the fourth position.
