The reigning European champions were beaten at their own home as they let their French opposition take control of the tie.

Manuel Neuer notices Paris Saint-Germain have “problems at the back” and believes Bayern Munich can complete a Champions League turnaround against them.

Bayern were beaten 3-2 against PSG in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg at the Allianz Arena last week.

Asides from the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Keylor Navas putting in superb performances, Robert Lewandowski‘s absence also was a crucial factor in the Bundesliga side’s loss.

It marked their first European defeat under Hansi Flick, the man who helped them achieve the astonishing feat of winning a sextuple in 2019-20.

Neuer, however, remains confident that his side can turn the tie around and reach the last four.

He told Bundesliga.com: “We need to stay calm in our heads, but have fire in our heart. We want to approach the game the right way, with motivation, a good attitude of course, and the stability you need against such quick players.

“We’ll need to keep our cool, play attacking football and put them under pressure. They have problems at the back. If we create as many chances as we did in Munich, then we can do it.”
