Barcelona have been responding to new head coach Ronald Koeman well and are showing improvement each day, suggests Neto.
Ronald Koeman was presented as the answer to the calls of change made by the FC Barcelona fans following a forgetful season.
2019/20 marked one of Barca’s worst seasons in their recent history as the team finished second in La Liga, suffered a knock-out in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey, and were chased out of the Champions League in the Last eight stage.
Koeman was seen as the right man to usher in a new era at Camp Nou, having led the likes of Ajax and Valencia to glory in the past.
The reputation of the former defender and midfielder among the Barca faithful also probably played a part in his appointment for he has had a glorious playing career with them.
Additionally, Koeman, who was a member of Barca’s ‘dream team’ of the past, is understood to share the same ideology as Johan Cruyff and Pep Guardiola, two of the club’s most influential figures.
Neto believes that the 57-year old has already had some impact in the team while urging his teammates to align themselves according to his principles.
“We’ve gone from less to more in the game,” Neto said, according to Marca.
“We had more rhythm because we’ve had 10 to 12 days of real training. I see things positively.
“Each coach has their philosophy and way of playing and we have to understand that and adapt.”
