Wilfred Ndidi has backed his Super Eagles teammate Victor Osimhen to do well in his new surroundings at Napoli.
Victor Osimhen is the latest attacking name set to star in Naples next season.
The Nigerian international saw an impressive season with Lille where he bagged 18 goals in all appearances for the Ligue 1 side.
It came as no surprise when a host of sides sought his signature but it was Napoli who got their hands on Osimhen.
The 22-year-old joined the San Paolo outfit in a deal believed to be worth €50 million.
Osimhen has already made a good account of himself after scoring a hatrick in both of his friendly games for Napoli so far.
There is much expectation from the forward and Wilfred Ndidi is confident his Super Eagles teammate will do well in the Serie A.
“Whenever Victor is in front [of goal], I also see the ‘ginger’ [enthusiasm]. So, I am very sure that he is going to do well,” Ndidi told NFF media.
“I say good luck to him. He is a great player, he has this energy of wanting to win and I pray God will protect him.”
“It won’t be easy because it’s a new team, but I know he is going to do well.”
