Aurelio De Laurentiis has directed a signal towards Kalidou Koulibaly’s potential suitors that he will not be sold for cheap.

An unstable defense line was one of the major contributors to Manchester City’s failure to keep up with Liverpool, which ultimately resulted in them failing to defend their Premier League crown.

Strengthening his defense, as a result, is reportedly a priority for Pep Guardiola in the summer transfer window. City have already brought in Nathan Ake but Guardiola is still on the lookout of a more solid option.

In other news, Paris Saint-Germain are also in the hunt for a replacement for Thiago Silva, who played his last match for the club in the Champions League final.

Both Man City and PSG have been linked with the signing of Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis was recently asked to comment on the speculations surrounding the future of Napoli’s prized asset.

“Is Koulibaly going to leave? You should ask Manchester United, City or PSG this question,” he said,” as Fabrizio Romano reports. “In other words, those who can afford to pay certain amounts.”

Allan is another Napoli player who has actively been linked with a move away. Referring to him as well as Koulibaly, De Laurentiis insists that the club won’t bulge on their asking price for the players.

He added: “I see many buzzards on the transfers market… you know who they are, they seem to be waiting to swoop in, but we have impenetrable armor and they’ll not get what they want or at the prices they want.”
