Will Victor Osimhen head over to the Premier League next year? Aurelio de Laurentiis gives his thoughts on the Napoli star’s future.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis won’t dismiss the possibility of selling Victor Osimhen one day.

Osimhen is under contract at the Italian club until June 2025. Talks over a new deal remain ongoing. But if an agreement cannot be struck, De Laurentiis won’t rule out a sale.

The Italian referred to when he sold Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea in 2022 after the defender entered the final year of his contract.

“I have never not been calm when it comes to Osimhen, but it takes two to tango,” De Laurentiis said about Osimhen’s future.

“I remain the same, if his mood has changed, then there’s not much I can do about that.

“If after a handshake things change, that is disappointing, we take it into account, but life goes on. We have a good rapport with him, the contract runs to 2025, so there is time. Don’t forget that I sold Koulibaly at the last minute.”

Osimhen joined Napoli from French club Lille in 2020 for a €75 million fee. The striker has managed 65 goals and 15 assists in 115 games for the club. He was an integral part of last season’s title success in Serie A, winning the Golden Boot award with 26 goals.

His performances have reportedly attracted interest from Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Chelsea.
