However, on the field, Napoli completely outclassed their opponents Atalanta. Evidently, Victor Osimhen and Hirving Lozano stole the show with amazing performances.

The entire first half reflected Napoli’s dominance until Papu Gomez nearly put the ball in the net. Though, his left-footed shot blazed past David Ospina’s post.

In the 23rd minute, however, the hosts took the lead over Atalanta. Matteo Politano and Giovanni Di Lorenzo went past defenders to get into the opponent’s penalty area. Consequently, Chucky Lozano tucked in a close-range finish after a pass from Politano.

Additionally, Lozano managed to double the lead in the next 5 minutes. Politano made it 3-0 for Napoli in the 30th minute followed by a debut goal by Osimhen.

Taking one back from the hosts, Atalanta’s Sam Lammers came off the sidelines to score the opener in the 69th minute.
