The Italian giants gave their rivals no chance of survival in the elite competition.

Napoli defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday. A dominant attacking display secured the Blues’ place in the quarter-finals.

Osimhen is UNPLAYABLE!

Eintracht Frankfurt started the game with a conservative approach despite being 2-0 behind on aggregate. However, the Eagles gradually gained more possession as the first half went on.

The visitors made a few attempts to open the scoring, but Napoli kept them at bay with fast-paced counter-attacks.

Kevin Trapp made a fantastic save to deny Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the 43rd minute, but Victor Osimhen broke the deadlock only four minutes later.

Following a cross from Mateo Politano, the Nigerian striker made it 1-0 for the hosts with a towering header.

Napoli then secured their victory with another goal at the beginning of the second period. Only eight minutes after the break, Osimhen converted Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s cutback from close range to double Napoli’s lead.

Eintracht’s disappointment after the second goal only provided more space for Napoli to extend their lead. The referee awarded the hosts a penalty in the 64th minute, with Piotr Zielinski adding his name to the scoreline.

Napoli came close to scoring more goals in the final ten minutes but settled for a fantastic 5-0 victory on aggregate.
