Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller is interested in seeing where Lionel Messi ends up amidst his ongoing transfer saga.

It’s the same thing on everyone’s lips right now. The talk is all about Lionel Messi.

Will he leave Barcelona? Where will he end up if he does leave? All of those questions and many more remain unanswered at the moment.

But it could all become clearer in the coming weeks. There is a growing sense Manchester City could close one of the signings of the decade. Concrete reports linking Messi with a move to the Etihad can not be taken for granted.

Asides City, rivals United and French giants PSG are realistic destinations for the Barca captain if he does choose to leave the club.

Muller describes Messi as perhaps the best player in the last century. This time in particular, the Bayern star is curious to see how it all ends up for the decorated Argentine genius.

“The day Messi and Barcelona go their separate ways had to come at some point,” Muller said as quoted by Goal.

“Of course, you would have thought that would be the end of his career but now it seems to be different.”

“Lionel Messi is one of the best footballers on the planet, maybe even the best of the last 100 years, although everyone will have their own opinion. If you ask Pele, he may see things slightly differently! Now there will be a change and it could become interesting for football.

“Besides Barcelona fans, which I understand, nobody views this in a bad way, but are instead curious about what new paths could open up.”

Asides Muller, the sporting world at large also wait anxiously to see where Messi will play his football next season.
