Despite winning almost all there is as a manager, Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is still as ambitious as ever.

Jose Mourinho is renowned for his relentless effort in pursuit of glory. His latest comments show he’s still up for it.

Only a few can measure up to the Portuguese manager in terms of success and silverware as a manager. But he still wants more.

It’s often normal to see coaches more energetic and motivated to win at a younger age.

At 57, Mourinho is the fifth-oldest manager in the Premier League but warns he’s still as ‘young’ as ever.

He claims he’s still as hungry to fight and challenge for titles just as much as his younger days.

“People think I’m very old because I have been at this level since 2002 — I’m not very old, I’m very young for a football manager.” Mourinho said as quoted by Mirror.

“A coach gets better and better until the motivation is gone, and in my case I love it more and more and more. I like the challenge.”

“First of all, I want to enjoy, and secondly I want to win more.”

“I want to fight. I want to play. I want to coach every day.”

“I want to wake up in the morning and have that happiness of going to the training session.”

Mourinho guided Tottenham to a sixth place finish in the Premier League last season. Perhaps a top-four finish or even a title challenge is something he looks forward to in the coming season.
