Jose Mourinho has responded to comments from Jurgen Klopp after the Liverpool boss complained about a hectic fixture schedule.

Jose Mourinho says Jurgen Klopp is wasting his time complaining about player’s welfare and fixture scheduling. It is something the Portuguese boss is well aware of since he first arrived in English football back in 2004.

Liverpool boss Klopp has spoken out on recent occasions about fixture scheduling, given that multiple of his first-team players have suffered injuries.

After a 2-0 defeat to Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday, Liverpool face a lunch-time clash against Brighton at the weekend.

Klopp was seemingly not pleased with it all and voiced his anger at the whole situation after the game.

Mourinho says he has long been aware that the situation isn’t likely to change.

“Klopp arrived by 2015,” said the Tottenham boss ahead of Spurs’ game against Ludogorets as quoted by The Independent.

“Nothing changes. We have to adapt to it, that’s the way it is.”

“They were lucky this week that the draw gave them a Tuesday match. That’s not a new thing, that happens all the time,” the Portuguese manager added.

“We knew since we went into the Europa League so we’re not going to complain about it. We knew we were to always play on Thursday.”

Besides Klopp, Guardiola and Solskjaer are other managers who have spoken out on fixture scheduling as well.
