Jose Mourinho has talked up the attitude of Harry Kane after the striker produced an all-round display in the win against Burnley.
Harry Kane was influential at both ends of the pitch as Tottenham grabbed all three points from their Monday’s Premier League outing.
The English marksman did not find the net himself but he had a direct hand in Son Heung-min‘s match-winner. He also made a decisive goal-line clearance, preventing the opposition from scoring what could have been a draw-inflicting goal.
Kane now has picked up an astonishing eight assists in just six league games this campaign, in addition to netting five goals.
The 1-0 victory at Turf Moor saw Jose Mourinho’s men stretch their unbeaten streak to 10 matches across all competitions while also jump to the fifth position in the league standings.
“In the last minute [he was also] pressing, a sliding tackle and stopping the guys from putting the ball in the box,” Mourinho told of his star striker after the full-time whistle, speaking to BBC Sport.
“When you want to win you do everything for your team, there is no space for individuals, no space for prima donnas. Even a top player like Harry has this spirit, I just want to say it’s fantastic.”
“I want to say that the way the team plays, and today is not the best example of that, but I think he feels very comfortable and it’s a very good way for him to play because he’s good in the box, but he’s also magnificent outside the box.”
