The England skipper’s future has been a subject of intense speculations lately amid talks he desires to move away from north London.
In what comes as a source of hope and optimism for Tottenham fans, Jose Mourinho claims Harry Kane will stay put at Spurs.
Kane is currently on international duty with England, preparing to play in the Euro 2020 final against Italy.
The striker enjoyed a fruitful 2020-21 with his club, scoring 33 times in 29 outings, and has further enhanced his reputation as one of the world’s best marksmen with eye-catching displays for his country this summer.
He has spent all his senior career tied to Spurs yet has nothing to show for it, which is why the trophy-hungry player is supposedly in search of pastures new.
Manchester City reportedly already have a big-money offer in the pipeline while Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be mulling over a move for the 27-year-old, although Spurs are not interested in letting of their prized asset.
Quizzed on talkSPORT about the speculations surrounding Kane’s future, Mourinho responded: “Signing a new contract, I don’t know.
“I would say that [Kane staying] probably is what is going to happen. I don’t see Mr Levy with the desire to sell him.
“Of course Harry was very clear before the Euros but I don’t see Levy open for that, but only they know.”
