Jose Mourinho has made a big claim about in-form forward Heung-min Son and potential details of his future at Tottenham.
Jose Mourinho is of the belief that Heung-Min Son is happy at Tottenham and wants to spend his career at the club.
The South Korean joined the club back in 2015 and has proved to be a shrewd signing ever since.
This season, Spurs find themselves as possible Premier League challengers and much of their excellence rests on the partnership between Son and Harry Kane.
The 28-year-old remains tied with Spurs until 2023 but the club are eager to tie him down to a new contract. However, plans of a new contract have been stalled due to negative financial impacts from the coronavirus.
Regardless of when the new contract arrives, Mourinho is convinced Son wants to end his career at Spurs.
Mourinho said regarding the forward as per Sky Sports: “How can you sign a new contract with a player? You don’t know what is going to happen next season. You don’t know if you can offer the player a better contract than they have now. It’s a very strange moment.
“I just trust Sonny and Daniel Levy. I know that both want him to stay, if possible, for life, if possible until the end of the career.
“I see Sonny signing a new contract here but I don’t press for something to happen now because probably it’s not the right moment.
“I’m not a money man but I wouldn’t like to be the owner or the CEO of one of these football clubs living with this instability.”
Son has already been involved in 20 goals this season with 13 goals and seven assists recorded in 19 games across all competitions.
