Alvaro Morata compared Cristiano Ronaldo to tennis legend Rafael Nadal and gave an update on his Juventus future.
Alvaro Morata rates Cristiano Ronaldo as Juventus’ best player and compared the star’s winning mentality to tennis legend Rafael Nadal.
Despite his many successes over the years, Ronaldo remains as determined as ever. The 36-year-old continues to smash records and recently became the first player to win a Golden Boot in the Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A.
Now Morata has praised his teammate’s remarkable standards and compared him to Nadal, who has won 20 Grand Slam titles in his stunning tennis career.
“He is the one scoring goals because he is our best player,” Morata told Onda Cero on Ronaldo.
“He does everything to win titles at personal and club level. He has a top mentality, similar to the one of Rafa Nadal. I admire him and I enjoy playing close to him.”
Reports in Italy claim Juventus will pay Atletico Madrid another €10 million to sign Morata on a second loan deal next season.
But while unable to confirm where his future lies, Morata said: “If they gave me a choice between two teams I would say Atletico and Juventus. I don’t know what’s going to happen, I will play where they want me more.”
