Liverpool have agreed a £2 million deal with Championship side Preston to sign defender Ben Davies.
The transfer, expected to be completed on the deadline day on Monday, will provide some relief for the Premier League champions who were running out of options in defense amid an injury crisis.
Davies is out of contract at the end of the season and has been able to hold talks with other clubs in January.

The Argentine center-back is understood to be on the way back to his native country to join Boca Juniors.
