The Ghanaian star scored a hat-trick in what could be his last match for Ajax.
Mohammed Kudus admitted that his Ajax career might be over after a wonderful display against Ludogorets.
Kudus has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham since the start of the summer transfer window. It seems that he’s now on the verge of completing the move, with Ajax reaching an agreement to sign him for £35 million plus £3m in add-ons.
Kudus scored a fantastic hat-trick for Ajax as they Ludogorets 4-1 in the Europa League on Wednesday. Speaking after the game, he said: “Yes, I think it was my final game here at Ajax.
But let’s see what happens in the next day. The talks are going on. We have to see if an agreement is reached in the next days.”
According to widespread reports in the English media, Kudus will join West Ham on a five-year deal as soon as next week. It will be a major step in the Ghanaian star’s career as he breaks into the Premier League under David Moyes.
Kudus started his European career in Denmark after moving to Nordsjaelland from the Right to Dream academy in 2018. His performances convinced Ajax to sign him for £7.7m, which turned out to be an excellent investment from the Dutch side.
