The Pharaohs smashed Djibobuti with six goals as Salah dominated the game at Cairo Stadium.
Egypt defeated Djibouti 6-0 in their World Cup qualifier on Thursday. Mohamed Salah starred for the Pharaohs as he found the back of the net four times.
The Liverpool superstar opened the scoring for Egypt after converting Mostafa Mohamed’s precise low cross in the 17th minute. He went on to double the hosts’ lead by converting a penalty only five minutes later.
Egypt won the first half 2-0, but Salah needed only three minutes after the break to complete his hat-trick. The striker nodded home Ahmed Abou El Fotouh’s cutback to make it 3-0 as Egypt kept the pressure on Djibouti’s backline.
Salah added his name to the scoresheet once more when he smashed a fantastic low shot into the right corner of the net in the 69th minute. Mostafa Mohamed and Trezeguet went on to score two more goals for Egypt as they won the home game 6-0 as Rui Vitoria’s men started their World Cup qualifying campaign on a perfect note.

Nigeria were held to a shocking 1-1 draw against Lesotho, with Semi Ajayi scoring the Super Eagles’ only goal of the evening. Algeria managed to claim their first victory in the World Cup qualifying campaign with an easy 3-1 win over Somalia. Kenya, on the other hand, suffered a frustrating 2-1 defeat against Gabon.
