During an interview with Marca, Mohamed Salah made some doubtful comments regarding his future at Liverpool.
Mohamed Salah has been on news lately when it comes to his future at Liverpool. The striker has been suffering along with the entire team as the Reds are working their way through a mountain of injuries.
Although the Egyptian is looking good in front of the goal, Jurgen Klopp’s side has slipped to the seventh spot in the Premier League. And if you have watched Liverpool games, there has been some friction between Salah and the German head coach.
Evidently, the 29-year-old appeared to be furious with Klopp when he was taken off the pitch against Chelsea three weeks ago. All of these reasons make us think whether or not the prolific goalscorer will look for a way out of the club.
Salah has bagged 17 goals this year and he talked about his relationship with Klopp. He spoke to Marca ahead of Liverpool’s difficult fixture against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
“It’s not up to me [whether I stay],” Salah told the publication. “We’ll see what happens but I prefer not to talk about that now.”
“[My relationship with Klopp] is a normal relationship between two professionals. That’s how I’d describe it.”
The Egypt international slightly tilted towards making a move to Spain towards the end of the interview. But there was no suggestion that such a transfer is going to happen in the future.
“I hope to be able to play for many more years,” Salah said. “Why not? No one knows what’s going to happen in the future, so… maybe one day [I will play in Spain], yes.”
