Let’s review the most efficient ways you can watch this season’s MLS games.

Major League Soccer (MLS) is back with its 2023 season, and fans are eager to catch all the action on their screens.

This year, there have been some changes to the broadcasting landscape, so it’s important to know where you can watch MLS games.

In this article, we’ll review the channels and streaming services that will bring you live coverage of MLS matches.

Where to watch MLS games online

This year, Major League Soccer (MLS) has established a 10-year streaming partnership with Apple TV, departing from its previous broadcaster, ESPN.

As a result, fans can now enjoy every MLS game through Apple TV’s new MLS Season Pass app, a significant portion of games on Apple TV (without the MLS Season Pass app), and approximately one game per week on cable and satellite TV via FOX or FS1.

How to watch MLS games online

Method 1. Stream MLS Games on MLS Season Pass and Apple TV

The most optimal method to watch MLS games in 2023 is through MLS Season Pass, a streaming app available on Apple TV. This app provides coverage for every MLS game throughout the season, including matches from MLS NEXT and MLS NEXT Pro. Additionally, Apple TV may offer some MLS matches for free, even without subscribing to MLS Season Pass.

You can subscribe to MLS Season Pass for $14.99 per month or $99 per year (opting for the annual plan saves approximately 33%). If you are already an Apple TV+ subscriber, you can access MLS Season Pass at a discounted rate of $12.99 per month or $79 per year. Apple TV+ (excluding the MLS Season Pass) is available for $6.99 per month after a seven-day free trial.

Method 2. Using TV streaming services

Alternatively, you can choose from various live TV streaming services to stream MLS games online. These services often offer packages that include channels broadcasting MLS matches. Some popular options include:

FuboTV: Provides access to FOX and FS1, which broadcast a significant number of MLS games.

Hulu + Live TV: Offers coverage of FOX and FS1, allowing viewers to enjoy selected MLS matches.

YouTube TV: Includes FOX and FS1 in its channel lineup, granting access to MLS games.

By subscribing to these services, you can stream MLS games live as they are broadcasted on the respective channels.

Where to watch MLS games on cable

If you prefer traditional cable networks, FOX and FS1 will still carry select MLS games in the United States. Fox Deportes will also air Spanish-language simulcasts of these matches.

However, ESPN and Univision channels will no longer broadcast MLS games as they have in previous years, resulting in fewer games on traditional cable networks.

Here are the number of games you can watch on each network:

  • MLS Season Pass (493 games)
  • FOX (15 games)
  • FS1 (19 games)
  • Fox Deportes (34 games en Español)

Can you listen to MLS on radio?

For those who prefer radio broadcasts, ESPN Radio and ESPN Deportes Radio offer live coverage of MLS matches. Additionally, TuneIn radio, a streaming service, provides specialized team broadcasts for numerous top MLS clubs. If you’re looking for in-depth coverage and commentary, SiriusXM FC is another option that offers extensive MLS content throughout the season.
